I would recommend these boots to just about anyone, male or female, as long as you don't wear any size above a 9 or a 10. Otherwise, your feet will look clownishly, cartoonishly big. To begin with, you definitely have to upsize, by probably two full shoe sizes, with these boots. They are extraordinarily rugged boots, extremely well-insulated, with probably a half-inch to a full inch of boot, all the way around, between your feet and ankles and the outside world. You feel very safe in these boots. They're just really, really big. I normally wear a 12.5 to a 13. Was just able to make a size 14 work but, holy crow, do they look big. They look about 6 inches wide and 15 inches long. Honestly, I would have returned them if I had thought to hang on to the original packaging. As it is, I'm praying for a blizzard, otherwise I may never wear them in public. Off topic, I also bought a pair of Chilkat Tech GTX boots which I'm in love with. They are true to size, svelte by comparison and just as rugged, I'm sure.

This is a gift for my brother on Christmas. I watched him tried it on and he loved it! He said he likes the fit and the shoe looks sturdy. I would recommend it if any of you want to get your bro/bf/father etc a special present for them.

Very nice. My husband runs a bread route he is on his feet all day, kneeling down, walking, driving. This is his 3rd pair of these. He does put a good insert in there. He loves these boots and also wears them to church with jeans.

I bought these as my primary winter boot to replace some UGG boots and Sorel style boots. It is October and they are comfy, but I have not tested them in the NE winter yet. I bought 1/2 size larger than my 12 Vans, so 12.5! The boots look and feel great. I feel like I could snowboard with them. SunnySports has the best price and lightning fast shipping. I wear a 9 shoe and ordered these in 10 based on other reviewers suggesting ordering a full size larger. I did that and they were still very tight against my toes (in thin dress socks, not wool socks). I think I may need a 10.5 or possibly even a 11. Not sure how the sizing got so far off.

The boots are of quality materials and build. North Face out did themselves considering that usually their products are on the high side. Don forget to order at least a size larger. I recommend these to anyone that needs to keep their feet warm. And last but not least, Sunny Sports has the best price on the web.

The boot fit was a little tight anyone buying the boot needs to get a size bigger. maybe and inch larger. Because wear a half size smaller I got the next size a was still to small.

When ordering these boots get 1/2 size larger than you would normally wear. You do not need to wear more than one pair of socks with these boots even in very cold weather because they are so well insulated. I have worn these boots for 2 winters while hunting and they have kept my feet warm and dry with only 1 pair of socks on. They are also very comfortable and durable so you can walk all day in them.

I just got these boots today, when trying on, they were extremely tight. I ordered the size I normally wear (men's 9). I am exchanging for a 10, and hoping that they work out. I have never worn a size 10 shoe in my life, so I find this a little annoying that North Face didn't get the sizing right on their product. All my other North Face products are perfect. Order at least a full size larger than what you would normally wear if you buy these boots!

I took the advice of many reviewers and ordered a size larger. The fit is still snug but okay. Being that it's still September in Ohio, I haven't had a chance to test these out in the cold yet. I doubt very much that they're warm down to -25 degrees. Take it with a grain of salt. I've worn them around the house a bit and they're a little stiff but seem to be of sound quality. It's just too warm to wear them yet. They will need to be broken in a little. I plan on doing some backpacking in them this winter so I'll report back when I get a better idea about these boots. For 50 bucks, it's worth buying a size larger. You could even go a size and a half larger if you want to. I've never had a North Face product, but I expect it to be better than average. Time will tell.
