These are pretty heavy, at 1oz per pouch. That means to stake down my tent I need 12 of them, nearly a pound of fabric! The MSR equivalent come in at .33 oz a pouch; making them 1/3 of the weight. Considering I'm shoveling out extra money to save weight, I'd recommend making a purchase that actually does that. I'm not sure the tent stakes I have are much heavier than these. I ended up reselling them and buying the MSRs.
