Black Diamond Z-Pole Baskets for Distance Trekking Pole

I was able to replace my old baskets in about 3 minutes and have had no problems. I love these poles and was pleased to be able to freshen them with the new baskets.

set one worked great per instructions - set #2 unable to remove full basket - so just replaced metal tips - but ok ... poles have been used for over 300 hiking miles ... one set difficult locking the 3 sections - other set works great - both black diamond poles

When I bought my Black Diamond poles I failed to read the directions. I used the poles without putting anything on the bottom. Of course, the plastic soon wore down. I went to REI to get replacement poles and they told me Black Diamond sold replacement baskets. Wow! instead of buying new poles for $100 I could get replacement baskets for $10. I'm very happy.

We've been using Z Poles since they were available in Switzerland, the Faeroe Islams, Shetland, Orkney and at home in New England after icy costal storms that glaze sidewalks, steps and streets. The tips finally started to wear down, so these are in reserve since the we've had an early strom.

I have without exaggeration thousands of miles on these tips. I almost gave them 4 stars for not lasting forever. Possibly, if they were made of Kryptonite they would have. These new tips should last as long as my actual human legs.

Well my poles are as good as new. Everyone is amazed at how light they are which is very important for someone like myself approaching eighty.

I bought these tips to replace my original tips on distance Z hiking poles. They fit perfectly and now my poles are like brand new

The instructions tell you to turn the basket counterclockwise to remove it. What they don't tell you is that you have to stick the baskets in boiling water for at least 30 seconds to remove the baskets before putting on the replacement baskets. I had to turn to YouTube to figure out how to remove and replace the baskets. Otherwise, the baskets, like the poles, are great.
