There are times when a cam just doesn't fit and a BD stopper fits right into the wedge of a crack! I now have a set of two , there are certain cracks that simply gobble up stoppers. You get such a good feeling when you sink one of these guys in and your inner dialog is "I could fall on that all day!" These are a must have for any Trad rack!

I’ve used nuts from a few different companies over the years and these ones do seem to work the best. They place nice and I’m always able to retrieve them even after falling on them.

Call me old fashioned but these nuts are the best. BD nuts are the mainstay stopper in a climber's rack. There are very few constriction cracks where these don't work. Although they are not "off-set", they have a trapezoidal shape that allows them to be on placed their horizontal securely in mildly off-set cracks.

BD and, before BD, Chouinard, has made what i think are the best stoppers since, well, since good stoppers have been made. Get a full set and you'll be the envy of your Trad partners. Talk 2 of them into buying the same full set and you'll be ready to climb the Tower together ;-)

I have used Stoppers since the first version in 1972. They place consistently, clean easily, and do the job they are designed to.

I've been using BD nuts all my life and love them to bits. They are simple, reliable and affordable and they work in every sized crack you can imagine.

These stoppers are easy to place and easy to clean. Love the shape and they seem to take abuse better than other brands. A absolute essential for every rack.

These stoppers (nuts are a staple for any climber's rack. The shape gives you several different orientations for placement so it covers a wider range of widths. The transverse taper makes them easy to place and really secure. I have yet to have one pop on me in a fall. They can be a bugger to remove so bring a nut tool. I've never used sizes 1 & 2 since I don't do any direct aid climbing, but I'm sure they work just as well as the rest.
