You’ll want to determine how far you want to hike, what terrain, and where. You’ll also want to be fully prepared for any kind of weather conditions, with sunscreen, hat, or poncho.

Located in the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, the Razor Point Trail and Guy Fleming Trail are easy on the difficulty scale. Being only around one or two miles long, these trails will take you right by the water where you can possibly see marine life. If you want to try something a little more difficult in the hiking trails of San Diego, head to Cowles Mountain. Throughout the hike you can see various wildlife, lush greenery, and the highest point in the San Diego area.
