Choose camping sandals with the best support.
The outdoor adventures you plan to do the most will determine what type of sandal is best for you. Simple, classic flip flops are more than sufficient for beach fun, hanging around the campfire on warm summer nights, or wearing between rock climbing routes at frontcountry crags.
For moderate hikes or scrambling around rough terrain in wet environments, don’t assume you need to always wear closed-toed shoes. Brands like The North Face and Chaco manufacture excellent sandals with sticky-rubber soles, great arch support, and multi-point adjustable straps.
These high-performance camping sandals excel in rough canyoneering and whitewater conditions where you may need to repeatedly switch from wading to scrambling. Although it depends on your personal comfort level, a good pair of performance sandals can even support your feet on 5-10 miles hikes.
Get a touch of style with good-looking outdoor sandals
