Can the hinged lid be removed easily when placing in the dishwasher? Can the percview knob be washed in the dishwasher?

I never tried to unhinge the lid before putting in the dishwasher. I set it on the lower rack in order to accommodate the height. The knob is glass (or was when we bought it a few years ago for our mother) . As long as it's snug in the lid, it should be fine. It's a nice peculator.

thy are also universal if it happens to break you can contact the manufacturer and they
will be able to replace the knob.
