We attach these to the decks of our kayaks. The insulation keeps our water at a drinkable temperature during several hours in direct sunlight. Very happy with this product.

Recently used this on a trip to Lake Tahoe. Filled it with water and ice for an all day hike. Each sip (that wasn?t sitting in the hose for too long) was super cold! Even the water that sat in the hose wasn?t nearly as hot as it could?ve been.
One downside: if you fill it with super cold water, it will condensate like crazy and sweat so much that you?ll think it?s leaking (it?s not). Just a warning of your pack doesn?t have a drain port at the bottom. I needed up soaking my extra clothes a...t the bottom of my bag.
Still, a damp lower back is worth it to have ice cold water on a hot summer day!

Does the insulation protect from moisture sweating out and getting contents of backpack wet? My bladder only has a mesh compartment to separate from all the rest of the backpack content.
