I had one for 49 years, since I was in the scouts! It just recently broke.

I've had this for a few years and it is awesome. It is a little more than the plastic ones that everyone uses but this holds about as many and has a loop for hanging if you want. I tend to hand it off my belt or pack on Scout trips and it is constantly borrowed with no issues.
The knurling is helpful for lighting decent Strike Anywhere style of matches. Not as good as a dry rock but I've rarely had trouble.
Since all the parts are connected you can't lose anything like the cap. And with me...tal threads you will never cross thread it.
