how does this compare to MSR EVO tour?
I'm not sure I can help. We did a little snowshoeing last winter with rental equipment. I think the rentals were the EVO tour and they were fine. I read a lot of reviews and thought the Tubbs were the best suited to our needs. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. They seem very comfortable. We will have a better opportunity to thoroughly test them out this winter.
Very comparable. The major differences are in the shape and straps. The curved deck of the Flex TRK 22 is supposed to be ergonomically better for women hikers and the straps are easier to use than the MSR EVO tour. My wife has them and loves them. I have MSR Ascents which are similar to the EVO except for the straps. I am a fan of MSRs and think that the Flex TRK 22 is a great alternative for women.
