I bought this when I knew I was going to spend a year doing a lot of camping and adventuring. Thanks to its thin and light build, I was able to squish it in to almost any packing arrangement (and, if all else failed, lash it to the side of my pack). It was easy to get inflated. I can fill the whole thing with only a few deep breaths, which made setting up camp quickly much easier. It's held up astoundingly through many rigours. It kept me surprisingly comfortable and warm through any variety ...of experiences.
I was so surprised at the comfort of this pad. I am a big guy (6'2" 250#) and this has not let me down. Self inflation is quick and I only have to add 4-5 puffs of air to get it to my liking. On VERY cold nights, I put it in a home made sleeping bag liner (flannel from local craft store) and it slides nicely inside my mummy bag.

Maybe two inches? I have not used it lately, so I am not sure. It is to be used as a supplement to your sleeping bag. When I placed it in my son's sleeping bag, it felt comfortable. Without it, I felt like I was sleeping on the rock hard floor!

About an inch and a half
MATTHIAS K
I added some manual strength to further inflat it and it was around one inch

How is insulation? Does it support heat in 45 degree weather?

I used it in the Boundary Waters for 9 days with a 40 F bag. We had temps two nights near freezing. I was always comfy on it. I added air after I let it self-inflate for a little extra padding. It packs small and is pretty light.

What is the difference between a "medium" and a "regular"? They seem to have identical dimensions, but the medium weighs slightly less.
BRANDON D
Medium is 66". Regular is 72". You can always go to the manufacturer website for spec information if the store lacks it in the future.
