Good Traction

Gotta bring these on your winter hikes. More bite than microspikes for more difficult ice conditions. Will give you confidence when needed.

Protect yourself from falling on the ice

I had purchased a similar item at another store and the toe chains wore out. These seem to be working just fine, so far.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Lilia G  Birthday present to my husband
ED C  I was worried about my son putting a hole in his leg/foot with a crampon. The shorter spikes wouldn't have made through his boot and into his foot; no toe spikes meant I didn't have to worry about him kicking into his calf. (He's 10 years old). But with those shorter spikes, I also bought the Crampon Pro as well... good thing.
PAULINE M  These were highly recommended by hiking leader that is trustworthy in giving sound advice on gear.
Shopper  Where are these manufactured and what is the warranty?
GARY M  Don't know where made, but seem of high quality. As for warranty I don't know, but have had mine for 3 years with no problems, and I fish mostly every day!!
Shopper  How do sizes run as I don't know what small, medium, or large compare to in regular women's or men's sizes?
ED C  This is going to be brief... a medium fits my size 8 hiker (mens) or my sons size four winter boot. nice crampon.
T V  Good question. Hillsound has a size chart on their website. However it's not exact. I wear men's boot size 11 and according to the chart, that should mean a Large trail crampon. I received a medium by mistake, but tried it on anyway, and it fit perfectly. These crampons are terrific and Sunny Sports had the best price. I'm very happy with them.
GORDON R  Get one size larger than what your size is . If you are a medium, get a large size. This particular pertains if you are putting the hillsound's on hiking boots.

ALEKSANDR F  I wear size 10 pac boots and got hillsounds in XL. Large was tooo hard to put on/off
GARY M  I got the large for my size 11 boots in mens
James K  Check the Hillsound website for sizes. They list small as size 6-8 men/ 7-9 women medium as size 8-10: mens/9-11 womens, large as size 10-12 men/no listing for women I purchased a medium and works great on my size 9 1/2 leather boots. For my size 10 snow Paks I use a large. Love these. Use them for ice fishing and walking. Much better than Yaktrax for traction on ice or icy snow. Dont wear inside, on wood or tile. Very aggressive.
LISA C  A good fit is extremely important. They must be tight to you boots or they will come off in snow. The manufacturer has shoe size estimates but I find the run large and boots vary depending on manufacturer. The only way to really know what size to get is to bring your boots to a store and try them on. It's worth it to get the right ones.
MICHAEL C  Used on "bunny boots and heavy winter boots, so you need to order bigger size to fit over outdoor winter boots. Great on ice roads.
