will these crampons fit over a full size mountaineering boot ?
Yes, they will fit.
The crampons are easy to put on and they are very steady while I am hiking on snow and ice.
It depends on the size of boots and crampons. In general, the crampons tend to be on the small size.
I have Scarpa's Mt. Blanc mountaineering boots and yes, I "could" fit the trail crampon's over them, but I wouldn't (and haven't) use(d) them on any true technical mountaineering routes. I use the hillsound trail crampons on fall/winter hikes (when not a ton of snow/ice) with gtx hiking boots where I might run into dicey patches here and there. My mountaineering trips, I'm in the Scarpa's & Grivel G 12 Crampons. JMO.
Yes. They do fit over a full size mountaineering boot.
I've used them on leather mountaineering boots, but not on plastics.
They work well on everything I've tried them with...
Hello dear, I bought this one for my wife. But she havn't used yet. She has a hiking boot(more likely three and half season), and I tested this crampon once, It appears tightly fit and looks OK
I don't thing you'll have a problem fitting them over your mount.boots.I put them on over my big fat sorels and have no problems
I think so... they're kind of too loose on my hiking shoes, so should be snug on a boot.
I doubt it. The XL just fit my size 13 leather boots.
I have an XL set, and they fit perfectly on my salewa alp trainer mid gtx (size 12). So if your shoe size is at the bottom of the suggested range, you should be fine. If your shoes size is at the top of the suggested range, I'd go a size up.
you may probably need a larger size Hillsound Trail Crampon to fit around a full size mountaineering boot., whatever size that may be dependent on your mountaineering boot size
