Comments about Rome Old Fashioned Waffle Iron - Cast Iron:

I have wanted a cast iron waffle maker for a long time, and now I can't beleve I waited so long to get one! I washed it and seasoned it as soon as it arrived in the mail, and made the first batch of waffles that night. I was not expecting the first batch to go well, but they turned out wonderfully. The batter did not stick to the iron at all, and it was very easy to use. The iron came with seasoning instructions, and recipes. I also love that it comes in two pieces, makes it much easer to wash. I can't wait to take it camping!

      Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this pan made in the U.S.A.?
cindy s  The casting is done in China and in the state if Illinois.
Shopper  can this product work on electric stove?
LYNN M  I have a gas stove, but I see no reason why it wouldn't, cooking waffles is just like making pancakes as far and timing and doneness. You can always turn over the iron and peak and see if it is done and continue cooking without messing up the waffle. I think you just have to get the temperature regulated. Your iron will be seasoned and you can use butter or spray oil to prevent sticking. Just a little practice and you will love this product, nothing beats cast iron.
