Comments about Patagonia Torrentshell Waterproof Jacket for Women:

I spent a lot of time in the rain when I owned this jacket and it was fine for the wind but terrible for rain. I would recommend buying a nicer jacket, I'm sure Patagonia makes better rainproof ones.

Comments about Patagonia Torrentshell Waterproof Jacket for Women:

I ordered this to have a stylish rain jacket as I didn't own one beforehand. The color was great! (I ordered Flash Pink). It's bright, but I like it. Tested it out on a rainy day, no issues. Hood didn't seem to close tightly very easy, but I'm sure if I take more time to figure out how to tighten it, it will be fine. Would be great to take for hiking or traveling as it folds up easily. I typically wear a medium, so I ordered that size... fit is loose, but not too big or bulky. I wouldn't want a tight rainjacket though.

Comments about Patagonia Torrentshell Waterproof Jacket for Women:

Thanks to all previous reviewers, I ordered a size down, and the small fits my size 8 Petite torso perfectly, with room for a light layer for warmth. The cut and weight makes this a utilitarian piece, i.e. for rain. Because it's boxy and doesn't drape, I wouldn't wear it except when I expect to be in the rain. Well made for that purpose, though!

Comments about Patagonia Torrentshell Waterproof Jacket for Women:

I bought this jacket for my daughter and she loves it--which is saying something, because she's a 14 year old and very picky about style. She likes the color, fit and style, and also the water- and wind-proof qualities of the jacket, and the fact that she can stow it in her backpack to use when she needs it.

ESTHER M  it doesn't have a lining and is also not very waterproof. after about 10 minutes of being in the rain mine would be wet on the inside. it's an expensive jacket, you should invest and buy a nicer one.
