Comments about Patagonia Rock Craft Pants for Men:

great pants, I took them on a 2 week trip to Costa RIca during hot humid weather to wear at night with bugs and did great with multiple wears without washing, with only one side pocket which is flat you can pretty much wear them anywhere you would wear khakis. The fit is trim through the thighs and seemed a little long. I normally wear 30 inseam, these are 32 inseam but had to have them hemmed several inches to not drag the ground. perfect pant to do dinner out, casual business, and would obviously be great for outdoor stuff too

Comments about Patagonia Rock Craft Pants for Men:

I'm a big fan of Patagonia and own a lot of their clothes. They stand behind their products and the clothes I've purchased have held up well through the years. I bought these pants to take with me on a recent trip to Honduras. I was looking for long pants that were lightweight, breathable, durable, and lightly water repellent. These fit the bill perfectly. I spent most of my trip in the jungle, in temperatures ranging between 95 - 110 degrees with 90+% humidity. These pants did an excellent job keeping insects (mosquitos, sand fleas, biting flies, etc.) off of my legs. When I was in the sun for hours at a time, they kept me from getting burned. The DWR finish helped the water I brushed up against from wet plants bead off nicely. I was caught in a few torrential downpours. These pants will definitely get wet and are not waterproof, but I knew that when I bought them. They dry quickly after being wet even in high humidity. I liked the first pair so much, I bought a second pair in a different color. The Rockwall color (dark charcoal) hid dirt much better than the stone color while out in the field. I rotated between the two pants for 8 days of hiking through the jungle. Even though I was profusely sweating, they barely had an odor by the end of the trip. After the trip, I washed both in a washing machine and they looked like new again. I am 6' 2 with a 32" waste. I wear a 32W 34L in jeans. After reading other reviews about the waste being slightly smaller, I ordered the 33" waste, 34" inseam. The waste fits true to size and was slightly loose on me in a 33" waste. Also I have found that Patagonia pants are cut slightly long so I probably could have gone with a 32" inseam, but was worried the pants may have been too short. I ordered 34" inseam and the pants have a little extra material, but that was nice when I was sitting on the jungle floor. I also bought the Rockwall Craft Shorts at the Patagonia store in Chicago. I bought those in a 32" waist. They fit true to size.

The light weight of these pants made them perfect for travel. You can wash them and they dry quickly too. On top of that they are really good-looking and even slimming. I love them.

Comments about Patagonia Rock Craft Pants for Men:

I am very disappointed with the fabric used in the the latest incarnation of the Rockcraft pants. Since I have a pair (which I love) from a previous year my expectations were high. However, the material drapes differently and does not inspire confidence that it will be durable enough for extended hard use.
