Comments about Patagonia Black Hole Duffel:

I've used the smaller 45L Black Hole duffle for a number of years and it's been great for a variety of outdoor uses from work to paddle trips, XC skiing, trips to the gym and weekend get aways. Decided to replace an older duffle with the 60L and have been very pleased, so will likely get the 90L sometime in the future. As w/all Patagonia stuff I own, it's a little pricy, but after I bite the bullet and make the purchase, I wonder how I lived w/o it.

Comments about Patagonia Black Hole Duffel:

I bought the 90L for a 10 day trip in CA. I had to pack for a variety of conditions from cool and damp to hot and sunny. I over packed and this bag took it all with room to spare even with my bulky hiking boots. Amazingly comfy should straps made lugging the load so much more enjoyable. BUY this bag you will not regret it!

Comments about Patagonia Black Hole Duffel:

Great bag used it for a 10 trip in California. From SFO to Monterey to Yosemite and Napa. This bag is so cavernous I found myself overpacking since I had the extra room. Fits great as a backpack with the included very comfortable attached straps. Rugged construction so you can toss it around without fear of damaging it! Buy this bag you won't be sorry you did.

I filled this up with everything I intended too for work, and there is still room!! I was hesitant that I was not going to have enough room, I was wrong! The duffle is like a black hole! Very well built and super light when empty.

            Questions about this item:

Sam S  Not sure which size to get. Need it for work and gym closthes. thinking 45L vs 60L, or even 90L?
ERIC H  Hi Sam, the 45L is perfect for gym clothes or a gym bag or a small bag if you are going on a boat for the day. The 60L is a nice med size bag and perfect for a weekend bag. Has backpack straps. The 90L is a large sized bag, and is good for longer items and longer trips. I got all three sizes(45,60 and 90L) for different needs. The 60L is really versatile but the backpack straps would be a pain if you are trying to use is as a gym bag and stuff it in a small locker.
Sam S  Hi Eric thanks for the info! I should have been a bit more specific when I said gym clothes. I am in the military so my boots and uniform would sometimes be going in the bag etc. Are the back pack straps removable? I agree they would be a pain trying to stuff them into a locker etc. Sam
