About Outdoor Research Backbowl Jacket for Men

Outdoor Research Backbowl Jacket for Men Medium Patrol Red
Stay protected in the outdoors wearing the Outdoor Research Backbowl Jacket for Men Medium Patrol Red. Whether there's a storm or the weather is simply wet and chilly, this non-insulated, highly breathable side country ski garment shields you from the elements. It keeps you dry and comfortable underneath lightweight 2-layer 70D Pertex Shield fabric. This offers a balance of wind and water protection by reducing condensation build-up within the garment. Aside from this amazing fabric, the Backbowl Jacket's fully taped seams add extra weatherproofing to keep the elements out. This Outdoor Research jacket is lightweight, breathable, and easy to move in. You can throw in the zip-off adjustable hood over your head when the weather goes bad. When it gets chilly for your hands, you can place them inside the zippered hand warmer pockets. Double-sliding Cross-Flo zipper vents are also there for easy venting and inner pocket access and a removable nylon/spandex-knit mesh powder skirt is located inside the jacket for keeping the snow from getting up the jacket. If you're looking for a jacket that can handle whatever winter throws your way, choose the Outdoor Research Backbowl Jacket for Men Medium Patrol Red.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MOHD Z  The best jacket I ever had.
Shopper  Weight is given as 2.5 oz./72 gm. Anyone know what the actual weight is?
DAVID S  Hello...I have the Large, and it weighs 32.4 oz, just a shade over two pounds. It is listed as non-insulated, but this jacket is noticeably warmer than my old Gore-Tex Mountain Guide Shell from The North Face (which I still use for backpacking)... This is my first shell made of Pertex, and it seems a pretty beefy shell fabric, though still very flexible. With the nice lining, it is NOT a light shell, but if you have a quiver of various mid-layers, this is a very flexible shell, down into the lower teens at least, so far this season...
Shopper  How is the hood rolled and secured when not in use?
JIM D  The hood cannot be rolled up when not in use. But it can be removed. It has one zipper and two snap buttons on both sides of the hood.
