Going to use it while snorkeling in the Caribbean. I think it will be fine once I can get it on
Women's Sport Vest Is fabulous!

I use the vest for disc dog practice. It fits perfect for over a tee shirt for short 10 min. practice sessions. Easy on Easy off. Really nice on cold mornings.
Also, perfect for kayaking...not too hot and easy movement.
Smart layering can significantly improve warmth while diving, and this front zipper vest wears easily under or over a full suit or skin. The sleeveless cut leaves arms free for complete mobility and makes the Sport Vest a natural cross-over garment for paddle sports, water skiing and watercraft use. Soft and comfortable premium neoprene material construction.
Light and easy to pack, the Sport Vest is also durable, thanks to quality 2.5mm Nylon 2 neoprene rubber and flat-lock seam construction provide a smooth interior and exterior surface to ensure maximum comfort and durability. Vest has a heavy-duty #10 YKK front zipper closure with pull-tab leash. Anatomical cut for a comfortable fit, spot taped at stress points for durability and spandex trimmed arm, neck and waist openings for comfort. Internal key pocket for security and tear away sizing tags. Sports Vest is available in multiple sizes, colors and has a tear away size tag for easy ID.

Looks like you didn't notice the full description on the website:

My name is Eddie Labozzetta. Former USCG. I've had a lung removed from asbestos exposure during my military service. Im very self conscious about my scars and would love to go-to the ocean again. Will this give me my confidence back?
Thanks in advance

Hello Eddie,
First, let me thank you for your service and express my sorrow that you had to give so much more than you ever anticipated. Yes, the vest will cover your chest and associated scars. The zipper vest should be easier to get on than the over-the-head ones, especially if your chest muscles are compromised.
If you will forgive me for being intrusive, I would like to make a few comments and observations. I lost the use of my left lung with a diaphragm failure (just age, no accident). I am not sure if you have been diving since surgery but be careful of strong currents. I ran out of “wind” long before I ran out of air, which took me by surprise as an experienced diver. It also took a couple of dives to regulate my breathing. I blew through my first tank in about 35 minutes. Be sure to let your dive master know of your limitations.
I would also recommend that you contact Disabled Sports USA (DS/USA) for dive clubs. I am an adaptive ski instructor in NH and I have found DS/USA to be a wonderful and supportive organization with a great veteran service.
Feel free to contact me for more info.

Yes it will..we purchased several of the vest for our boat and they were outstanding. FYI I also had a partial lung removed and I understand your concern but don't worry about it almost everyone that I ca
me in contact clearly understands and is rooting for you to stay healthy

How much additional buoyancy will vest create, worn over 3mm wetsuit?
Mark P
Depends on size and fresh verse salt water. I wear an xl in salt water and added 2lbs.
CLAUDIA G
Probably a couple of pounds
Andy C
Very little. It's thin.

I always wore this vest by itself while snorkeling. It is great for floating around but I would add 4 pounds if I were serious about going deeper than 15 feet.

My husband loves the additional warmth provided by the vest. Now that it's "broken in", he's not had to add any weight when diving with it. You may want to add an additional pound on your first dive or two.
