I've had this bag for several weeks now, and have no complaints whatsoever about it. I use it primarily as an every day bag between work and school. Love how comfortable and spacious it is.

Comments about The North Face Solaris 40 Backpack:

This is a great backpack for Canoe Tripping. The padded straps really help on long portages. The tapered shape is great if you are tumping wannigans. Fits a lot of stuff, easy to handle, good pocket design. External webbing. Has lasted several years on long trips.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

              Questions about this item:

Erwin N  Does it include a compartment for sleeping bag?
SAMUEL R  It does not have a dedicated compartment for a sleeping bag but you could fit a warm season bag in the main compartment. But you would not be left with much space for other items. There are two loops on the outside on the bottom of the bag where you could attach a sleeping bag though.
Andie A  Is it good enough to carry lots of books, a laptop, a water bottle, and a lunch box around? I need one for school and may carry it all day around the campus. I'd like a light backpack that can hold heavy stuff.
TONY N  Hi Andie, In my opinion the Solaris 40 is really good for the task. I've used mine for some time now, and it is really comfortable, even with a heavy load. Kind regards Claus www.wilderness-skills.com
