as a high school student, i needed a backpack that could carry all of my binders, books, clothes, and soccer gear and the occasional lunch bag. i did tons of research on finding a durable, heavy duty, lightweight backpack that was waterproof and could substain living in the northwest enviorment.i came up with the north face recon daypack. problem was, it was about $90.00 at the time. i knew my parents would never spend $90 on a backpack when you can just go to fred meyer and buy a jansport for $20. but then i found sunny sports and they had the best price by far. i definately recommend using sunny sports for all your camping gear. however, when it comes to the backpack i was pretty impressed. it definately seemed high quality. i like how you can adjust the straps on the side to make the daypack seem tighter and its very convienent for biking to school becase you can adjust it well to fit your back to ease less pressure off your back. i've had my backpack for over a year, and now that i'm taking more advanced and AP level classes i do wish i had more room in my backpack to store things. i've taken my daypack hiking with me and it works wonderful. the stitching as come a bit loose on the shoulder strap but nothing a good sewing machine can't fix. all in all i would recommend this backpack not because its a name brand but because its a high quality backpack and it met my standards

Northface Daypack for Women -- Recon

This is a great pack if you need tote a laptop.Padding, though, made it too stiff for non-laptop use. Nicely constructed. Had all the pockets and straps I was looking for.

Comments about The North Face Recon Daypack for Women:

I was searching for a durable, attractive backpack for college. I automatically wanted a North Face because they're know for those qualities, but I knew I didn't want to pay full price off of the North Face website because I am an honest to goodness bargain hunter. I stumbled up the Sunny Sports website and found the backpack I loved and wanted for a little more than 30% off the original price. I ordered it immediately, and it arrived exactly when Sunny Sports told me it would! (:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MICHELE M  large enough to fit my books and stuff for high school, but not too bulky
Shopper  Which is the better color to get : All black(classic north face) or the black w/turquoisish accents? plsss help me chose!
KEREN G  Hi there. That's really a matter of personal taste. I love color, and I got the one that's two shades of light green (some might call it aqua). I love it, but I don't know if it's still available. If you want black so you don't have to worry about stains/dirt showing up, but you still want a pop of color, then black with turquoise accents is a nice way to go.
Shopper  im going to be a fresshman next year im trying to pick a bookbag the recon or boriallis? i need it to hold 2 1 inch binders , 5 notebooks , 3 foloders, pencil pouch , makeup bag , my angenda , 1 textbook and little things like my phone and i pod which one can hold all this? we dont have lockers but we a block schedule so i will not carry all this at once, thanks(:
MELISSA M  I don't think the recon would be good for all that. The pockets are not as large as one might think.
