I was pleasantly surprised to find the color was even better in person, and that there were many little extra things on the backpack that they don't even advertise. I found a whistle and pockets that you can stash the waist belts in. The only downside was that I have found it hard to get things in and out quickly. But one my friends, who has the same one, said that it just takes some time to break it in, that it becomes more flexible as you use it. Overall, I am VERY happy with this backpack and would buy it again in the future.

Bag arrived with super fast, free shipping from sunny sports. However, when I received the Recon in the mail it was far too small. I don't mean the cargo size, as I can't vouch for that, but the bag as a whole is way too small. It looks like it would be a woman's bag...but it's even a little too small for my 5'6" girlfriend. I'm about 5'11" and when I put it on it left part of my lower back exposed....looked really awkward. The color was great, build quality is great, and it seemed like it could hold a decent amount of items....not great but not bad either. Long story short, I returned it and got the surge. I will say though, the back padding is GREAT on the recon. I read the other reviews on here and didn't hear anything about it being so short...so I thought I'd give you a heads up. If it was another 6-8 inches longer it would be perfect. Sunny sports was great to work with! Will do business again!

Very well built, back then people had jansport backpack and I've been using it for 2 years, I decided to upgrade and boy, the best decision ever! The stuff I carry to school now feel lighter than the jansport. This backpack is going to last me for a while.

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

    Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
SARA W  Roomy, durable, comfortable pack.
Shopper  is this backpack for men or women?
ARUNA P  It's primarily used by men but women can also use it.
Shopper  Is the orange backpack the actual color, or is it a brighter in person? I have seen different sites where the same backpack has a brighter orange color, but maybe it is for women.
ANDREW S  I bought my TNF backpack almost five years ago and it was all black. I bought another one for my wife recently that was black and blue. My backpack has had some very heavy use and still looks and feels like new. As to colors, TNF is always adding and changing colors which can also vary from batch to batch. Colors can also vary from computer to computer. If you are concerned about color, I suggest finding the actual item in a store and viewing it in person. Bottom line is that you can't go wrong with this backpack. It has become my all time favorite.
