Comments about The North Face Happy Camper Youth Daypack:

This was purchased for a kindergarten student and fits the purpose perfectly. It's light and has single compartment with internal pocket/zippered organizer inside, just enough to keep few things separate but not too much pockets to loose track of them - important for a child. Straps are comfortable and enough padding to use it for a day hike. Seams look OK and padding looks durable, not the mesh kind that will get shredded by kids in a week. The zipper might snag on the flap that protects it from the rain, if not careful , but that's not a big deal and I'd rather have that flap than deal with wet books.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Modinat A  This are items that has a longtime durability for both adult and children.
Shopper  is this big enough for a sixth grader?
ELIZABETH Y  I don't think so. A 2-inch binder and some papers is about max capacity for this backpack. I think K-3rd grade is more likely a fit.
Shopper  Is this too large for a kindergardener?
JEAN W  yes
