Could this backpack carry weight? Like 20 pounds inside Without breaking?
RICHARD G
Yes, the weight should not be a problem, it is high quality construction. This pack is unusual in that it is tall and narrow, less than 9 inches wide. Make sure you are happy with the size. Most backpacks are considerably wider.

This pack will carry twenty pounds easily; I do so regularly without any problem. Like all products from The North Face, it is well constructed and durable. It won't fall apart from being well-loaded! That said, however, note that the shoulder straps and back of the pack are thin and minimally padded -- hence its overall lightness. It works for me, but determining the weight that this pack can carry without becoming uncomfortable is obviously highly subjective.

I carried rope, layers, and 3 liters of water in a bladder and it was fine. Hope this helps!

what are the dimensions of this day pack?
Michael F
According to The North Face, the pack measures 21" x 11" x 9" (53 cm x 28 cm x 23 cm). Measuring my own pack, the plastic backstay measures just under 18 inches; the additional height comes from the top compartment (the cover pocket/lid). As for the other dimensions, they are malleabie depending on how you load the pack. The circumference at the top opening is about 25 inches; it increases to around 30 inches at the bottom.
