Is this backpack suitable for a 9th grader?
LORI K It would depend on how many large binders they need to carry. My 7th grader needed to carry several 3" binders and this backpack was not large enough. We ended up getting the Vault.
SOPHIA C Yes, I used it all last year (9th grade) and I plan to use it again this year (10th grade). Its very durable, I used it for travel too. The only thing is that it is a bit small. I only have a laptop, binder, and maybe a book. Between all that and my lunch in the first pocket, it was full. In the second pocket, there was lots of room for other things. So, it worked out well for me because then I did not have the inclination to put everything in my backpack and actually use my locker, unlike a lot of the kids in my school :) Overal, a great buy.
CHRISTIANA B Yes I believe so. I'm a college student and it's been great
YERO H The backpack itself is pretty big. If you are carrying a laptop, then its perfect. But for a 9th grader, it might be a bit over sized. But it is very sturdy.
YVONNE P For traveling, yes, but I don't think it would be a good choice for school. It's not as large as they would probably need for all of the books I can remember having to tote back and forth from school to home.
NANCY J Yes, I bought one for my 9th grade daughter last year. She is petite so the backpack fit her perfectly. I on the other hand am not petite so I bought the reg. Borealis for myself and my 10th grade son.)
CATHY W I think so. I bought one a couple years ago for my girl who really loved it. Now she is going to be junior. Recently I got another one for my younger girl who is going to be 9th grade. She just can't wait to use it. Hope this would help.
NAWSHIN A Yes, definitely. I use mine at college and since I'm always on the go, I practically carry my life in this backpack. It is very durable and contains several handy pockets. I can comfortably carry my laptop and a textbook in it. Should be good for a ninth grader.
