I use this backpack for school and its great! I don't have to worry about my backpack being too bulky with It's nice design. My only problem is that the space inside is a little tight, I'm having difficulty quickly pulling my books and other school stuff out. The middle pocket is too deep for my needs, but it would fit an 1 inch text book easily thou. Overall the backpack was a good buy :)

I'm a female and going from an Isabella to the Borealis, pretty big difference. It's big for me (Forgot to check the female version of this backpack so my fault), pretty heavier than how the Isabella used to be no matter the stuff I had inside.
The pockets are meh compared to Isabella's but I'm getting used to the backpack in general. Was actually thinking of returning it but I'm not sure where receipt is and the box it came in, I threw out. So I'll survive with this one I guess.
Slowly getting used to the big difference.

Comments about The North Face Borealis Daypack:

I am a teacher, and I use this backpack for daily to and from work needs. It is large enough to carry my laptop and a few teacher resources. I have also used it a few times for day hikes in the mountains. There was plenty of space for my gear and some snacks, but not so big that I felt weighed down.

I use this pack for school to bring my Macbook pro back and forth. The 13" fits perfect has great support. I also ride my Harley to school when it is nice out and the straps are comfortable and keep it up on my back nicely. I had a cheaper version before but when that one died i went for this version. I love it and would buy another one in a heart beat.

I purchased this backpack to take to Ireland next year and expect it to perform beyond my expectations. It was the only pack I tried on that wasn't uncomfortable at the neckline. I love it!

              Q&A

Questions & Answers Powered by TurnTo®

              Questions about this item:

Shopper  Is this a good backpack for a middle-school-er?
RONNI G  Yes, it's goOf for jr high through college. Also works for summer camp.
              Shopper  how many pockets?
BETHANY F  One on each of the sides for water bottles, one little pocket for like a key on the strap , a deep zip pouch in across the very front. It has two zippers on the "main part"- one is less wide with 3 medium pockets inside for a cell phone, pencils, iPod etc. The second part is the largest part which has another large pocket for your computer. Hope that helps!
Shopper  I see just as much of 'yes it fits a 17'' laptop' and 'no it does not fit a 17'' laptop. How I can be sure that this backpack fits a 17'' backpack or not?
THERESA S  I had a 16" Mac book pro and it fit tightly. I do not believe a 17" would fit well in this backpack
