Comments about The North Face Angstrom 27 Pack for Women:

This pack is one of the few daypacks I could find that was specifically for women, with a padded lumbar support belt. Am very pleased with the fit and comfort, perfect for petites. Material is not a heavy canvas; it's more like a ripstop fabric. The straps are easy to adjust while wearing the pack. You do have to take care with the zippers because they do have a tendency to cling to the fabric surrounding them. I would have liked zippers with wider teeth and a smoother pull, like those on Marmot jackets. The pack is also a bit heavier than some others this size, but I'd rather have it weigh a tiny bit more and have that wonderful lumbar support. Am looking forward to good use from this pack hopefully for many years.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  is the shoulder strap specially shaped for women so as not to cut near the arm pit?
RENEE G  I just summited Mt. Whitney yesterday and I can tell you as much as I liked my pack especially it's waist band this doesn't have the best or even close to best shoulder straps. It's something I didn't think much of until yesterday. All my training hikes were not as long as Mt. Whitney (22 miles) and probably tested the pack in carrying weight which may have contributed to the area that you describe which today I am feeling tender and sore to the touch. If you're looking for a lightweight pack this is it but as for storage it's compartments are great but function and ease of accsess could be improved. I would recommend this pack for day use and shorter hikes.
