The dimensions of my laptop are 14.5" x 9.5" x 1.5".
My laptop fits well in the laptop sleeve, it is a little snug, but if fits well.
I am very happy with the North Face Overhead.

My old north face carry on bag just broke, and I am looking for a replacement. Not to carry laptop per say, but to be able to carry clothes etc for a week long conference travels. Want something that can be carried one, but best capacity wiitin the 45-linear inch size limit for carryon bags. Any advice?

Hello, this item has been very useful, it fits on all planes and packs a larger amount, i am a photographer and it complements my travels very well...

Probably too small for week-long travel. Good for an overnight or two.

This may be a bit small for a week long trip but if you don't plan to bring much its great. Fits nicely in the overhead compartment.

Will a 17" laptop will fit in the sleeve?
BRIAN J
I highly doubt it will. I have a 15" macbook pro and it is a tight squeeze. That being said I don have a hardcase on it and everytime i've used the bag its been filled to capacity.

I believe a 17" laptop will fit. I have a 15" macbook and it fits. the bag is wonderful and sturdy.

It would be a tight fit, but yes, it should fit into the zippered top pocket... My 15" fits in there easily enough... If you are thinking about using the OUTSIDE pocket (which is a really just a half-sleeve without a zipper) for anything other than an iPad or a folder, you can forget that.

My new 17 inch Dell laptop does just fit. I just took it with me on a trip to Florida and the bag worked perfectly.
