My wife gave me a pair of these gloves 22 years ago. I used them on cool / cold seasons. They are good for anything near 30F or above. For really cold, or freezing, I used them with wool or poli-inserts. On wet days, I used an external thin waterproof layer (from another brand) over them. They are not waterproof, or with fast moisture- wicking specs, but these have been my favorite winter gloves. I have several types of gloves: For casual dress or outdoors use; current work gloves, pairs for ...U.S. Air Force Uniforms, pairs to pilot the USAF aircraft I flew, and Hiking gloves. Somehow they were lost after a Hike near Chattanooga last Spring. This replacement pair of gloves will receive a beating on my upcoming day-Hikes in North Georgia (where I live), & on nearby bordering states. They perform exceptionally well when Hiking with my carbon-fiber Hiking poles.
