This is a really comfy bag....it isn't a good idea to use it for back packing, but for regular camping it's great!

Comments about The North Face Wasatch 40F Sythetic Sleeping Bag - Regular Size - 2008 Model:

For anybody who plans to use this sleeping bag for car camping, it is perfect, but it is an absolute nightmare if you plan to use it for backpacking. If I were to put this in a stuff sack non-compressed, it would take up the room in my whole entire 75L pack. Even compressed all the way it takes up a good 50%. It's ridiculously thick/bulky.

The upside is that it is comfortable due to its thickness. I would recommend this for anybody who is car camping, but definitely avoid this if you're planning on carrying this in a pack.

Comments about The North Face Wasatch 40F Sythetic Sleeping Bag - Regular Size - 2008 Model:

Not much extra space across the shoulders so don't plan to boost the temp rating with a liner. Kept me warm right down to forty though.

          Questions about this item:

Shopper  how much does it weigh?
FRANK F  5 pounds 8 ounces...but on the back of a F800 GS who cares. It's really warm and roomy. Makes a great comforter opened with my feet in the foot pocket.
Shopper  I"ve got a couple of traditional sleeping bags and I can"t get them to fit into the sleeping bag compartment of my TNF Terra 60 or my wife"s Terra 40. Will these sleeping bags (TNF Wasatch 40F) compress to fit in there? Thanks
SunnySports S  Size Stuffed is 7" x 13" This is straight from TNF. Invest in a good compression stuff sack and push like ----.
