I haven't used this yet but it looks and feels very warm. I will be testing this in Feb in the ADK's. Appears to be less bulky then other bags with the same rating

Comments about The North Face Tundra -20F Climashield Sleeping Bag - Regular Size:

I like the compressibility of the bag, and unlike other reviewers, find that it squishes down in its own compression sack to a pretty small size. I went with this bag over a down bag due to concerns about getting wet and knowing that the size would be bigger and heavier. My 15 degree bag is bulkier and heavier than this one.

I have not gotten below 10 degrees (not including the wind chill), but I also have not been cold on the 7 overnight trips I've used it since October (it's now Dec.). The drawstrings are easy to operate by feel and the glow in the dark zippper is easy to use by feel too (it's large and works from the inside or outside of the bag).

My only complaint is the size around the knee are being a little tight and I can't bring my knees up during the night, which interferes with a good night sleep for me. Other than that this bag is the perfect point between down and synthetic fill for the way I use it.

Comments about The North Face Tundra -20F Climashield Sleeping Bag - Regular Size:

You have to wonder why The Northface doesn't mention it much after climbing in one. This is pretty great bag with some really great features.

        -warm and comfortable
        -draft tube is supple
-easy to reach chest level pocket
-good zippers; one main glow in the dark
        -pad loops

Just understand that you are looking at a synthetic bag so take in consideration the weight and packing size. I have myself a pretty good size backpack, (Gregory Baltoro 70), and with the compression sack that is provided with purchase it fits very snug in the sleeping bag compartment.

        Tip:
The only other thing I recommend doing, (which may sound kind of ridiculous), is doing a couple test runs fully zipped in this bag with the lights on and off. Because the zipper is glow in the dark which makes it easy to locate, but the draw strings for both the draft collar and hood get a little muddled when you're fumbling to adjust them in the dark.
