Great Bag for the price

Pros

  • Light
  • Packs tiny
  • Roomy
  • Value Priced

Cons

  • Down Smell In Humidity

Best Uses

  • Backpacking

I have the long and it matches the documented weight. I ditched the included stuff sack and use an outdoor research ultralight 8L compression sack. It barley fits, which is good because it compresses down to the size similar to a college football.

Makes for a great piece of kit, small, light weight for the price, and is super warm. I'm 6'2" 250 (portly) and the long fits good. I do wish I got a right hand zipper, but that's because I usually sleep on my side facing the right. I sleep well, keeps me more than warm, and can toss and turn with little difficulty. Have not tried it below 40 degrees yet. Never a warmth problem so far.

In the dead of August one might get too warm. I used it in some bad humidity in August, it had a little bit of a funky smell. I have heard that many down bags (if not all) exhibit this. The bag was really warm, it was probably 80% humidity and 70 degrees at night (in the tent). I was warm in the bag, but I fixed that by not zipping up the zipper and using the top of the bag more as a quilt.

I narrowed down my choices between this one and the "back country bed" but I didnt want to take a chance on that one because it's really new to the market and it's much more expensive.

I got this on sale about 40 bucks less than normally priced. Very happy with this bag price a little below one fifty. Best in class on weight, size, dri down, and warmth at that price.

Again, no complaints after a summer and fall of using it. No durability issues so far.
