what is the stuff size?
The generic stuff sack that it comes in says 10x19' on it but it could easily be compressed more and you should be able to get it into a 16L 8x19" sack. It's a good bag, definately long!
THIS IS A BIG HEAVY DUTY BAG. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT STUFF SIZE YOU SHOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE - BUT IF YOU WANT A VERY LARGE, VERY WARM BAG, GO FOR IT.
It's very sparse. At best a 40 deg. Bag. I bought this knowing I'm using for warmer weather with bivy sack. I also bought for size. I'm 6'9" it fits me fine.
Sorry, unable to help. We chose a different sleeping bag.
I just checked the included stuff sack and it's approximately 10"x16".
It's pretty big, about a foot and a half by a foot. Could probably be stuffed into a smaller sack to size it down.
It comes with it's own stuff sack that is very tight. But because of that it stuffs down pretty small. Smaller than you'd think for a large bag. Temp wise I have been happy with the performance also, including winter camping in the BWCA.
North face uses the same stuff sack as the regular length bighorn. The long length bag will fit into this stuff sack, but just barely. It is a tight fit. If you have a sleeping bag compartment in your backpack, the long length bag will fit in there just fine without the need for a stuff sack.
