    Comments about MSR Alpine Plate:

I actually did not purchase this to use as an eating plate, I use this as a base plate for my backpacking PackaFeather Alcohol Stove and my Littlbug Wood Stove to reduce if not eliminate any negative impact to the ground or platforms I will be cooking on, Part of my efforts to follow the "LNT" Leave No Trace philosophy of Camping, Backpacking and Hiking. I used this recently on a wooden table in a campground and there was no trace of usage on the table where there would usually be a small ring burned into the wood from the Alcohol Stove.
