Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent with Footprint and Gear Loft:

Best tent I've owned. It's rugged, watertight top & bottom, withstands strong winds, aluminum poles are much more durable than fiberglass, nice headroom, vents prevent consensation (except in =>4in snow) AND roomy enough for 2.

Two 6ft Scoutmaster's and gear fit nicely, even sitting & playing cards on a rainy day. Four mesh pockets allow each one for night items (flashlight, headlamp, ...ear plugs) plus 1 for day items (knife, lighter, maps, etc).
The two vestibules/access allows each easy in/out w/o disturbing other & storage of dirty/wet items: boots, packs, rain gear, etc. or drying area.

(I'm System Engineer, ALWAYS thinking of improvments; so don't get the arong idea; LL3P is wonderful!). LL3P would be perfect if: 1) Side panels were full mesh (don't know why Marmot didn't), solid panels do little for strength, add wt., prevent lying down to watch night sky/stars. 2) Doors zipped to side, rather then current reaching. 3) 2 zip-accessible vents @ top to improve airflow, particularly if snow buries base vents. 4) Could be lighter.

Marmot makes quality, well-thought-out, feature-rich outdoor products that never disapoint (at least not me). ENJOY!!

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent with Footprint and Gear Loft:

I have not used the tent but I have taken it out and looked it over. It is a quality product and I look forward to my next camping trip. It's light weight but a little bulky for me. It has nice aluminum poles and the footprint is high quality.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 3P Tent with Footprint and Gear Loft:

This tent was first used at the Camp Philmont high adventure scout camp. The 3P tent has plenty of room for two adults. Very easy to set up, take down, and pack. Two boys divided the components for back packing just for ease of reducing weight. This is a high quality and very well built tent.
