I did much research before purchasing this tent, it is great looking, light weight, has two vestibules and doors, is made a good name company, is symmetrically sized, and has great ventilation. In reality the practical usage of this tent has been disappointing. Set up takes longer with pole clips than my old north face tents that have sleeves. The fabric is super fragile, i stepped on the rain-fly on hard dirt surface and it immediately rubbed holes through it. I would never even consider using this tent of rough terrain even with the extremely expensive footprint. The doors do not open all the way which is seriously annoying when entering and exiting and the zippers are very finicky getting stuck easily and often are very hard to open and close from certain angles or with one hand, partially due to the light weight fabrics used. Also the tent design includes an additional pole that goes across the middle (ridge pole) that collapses and has a green metal cover that falls off, this pole is very small and hard to keep track of, very easy to lose and annoying during setup in my opinion. This tent just feels (and shows with wear after only a few usages) like it will not hold up over time. There is also no available gear loft, and only two very small pockets to keep anything in the tent. They really cut out a lot of very useful features to save weight on this. I am really wishing I had not gifted away my older and (a tiny bit heavier) north face tent. This one feels like it might last one season, its very expensive for that kind of life expectancy. I would imaging there will not be very many of these tents around very long from what I have seen with the zippers snagging, fabric wearing so easily, and incredibly easy to lose ridge pole design. I may try to sell this or keep it as a back up. With as many sacrifices it appears they made for weight the tent is still not as light as many dedicated lightweight options out there. Given the cost of this tent my advice would be to look elsewhere unless you weigh like 100 lbs and plan to only camp on soft grass once every few years.

The Marmot Tungsten Ultra Light tent has the highest ratio of space per ounce than any other of their tents. A volume-optimizing design gives the tent near vertical walls so you can stretch out your arms and easily find the perfect position to fall asleep in, and this tent has two doors which will come in handy for those late night "excursions". The seams are fully taped on both the rain fly and the tent floor, meaning that even during heavy rains you'll be dry and snug. On the inside are interior pockets, useful for keeping your essential gear close at hand (also works to store the novel you're reading), and a lamp shade pocket for lighting up the inside of your tent.
