Jennifer S I'm looking at the Marmot PreCip Full Zip Pants for Men - Spring 2014 Model. My dad's waist is a 32. Do you think that the small would fit him? It says that the waist has a drawstring, and he is not a big person. Thanks!

IVAN H I'd get a medium

Merel F I have a 33 waist and a 33 to 34 inseam. I purchased the Large. I wear them over slacks that have a belt. They fit fine and stay at the waist without sliding down. There is no draw string on the PreCip. There are Velcro tabs on either side above the side zippers. This allows for an inch or so of waist-size adjustment. An aside: The pants are fully waterproof, beatheable, and the full zip is a great feature and the reason I chose these pants over other similarly rated pants.

MARTHA F Jennifer, Not sure. I got women's and found them to be on the small side compared to other manufacturers.

TED S I just ordered these about a month ago and I use them as overpants for making the winter winds more tolerable. I'm a 32" waist and the Large size fits me very well in this context. FYI, I'm also 6'4" and the standard length is adequate for me. Please know that the waist does not have a drawstring, but the ankle hems do. Hope this helps!

SHANNON S I had trouble with these pants staying up so I sent them back. They have no drawstring or belt loops. If you have a question about fit I would avoid them.
