I would like to confirm about a size of Short/30" Inseam - small.
According to "size chart", the inseam is 27 1/2(small/short).
Which one would be correct?
Kindly let me know.
In previous years short was 27 1/2" inseam. Currently short is a 30" inseam. Marmots website used to provide this information, these days not so much. Sunny Sports does have an excellent return policy.
Mine measured really close to 30" (29 3/4").
The inseam is 30". I'm 5'7" & 150 lbs. and these fit me perfect.
i'm not sure if this will answer your question or not but here goes.
with marmot pants the small/medium/large as you can see from the size chart is for height and waist. then you have the short/regular/long inseams separately and it can be dependent on the small/medium/large sometimes.
I purchased medium short (30) marmot precip pants. I am 67 inches tall and wear jeans and slacks with a 30/31 waist with a 30 inseam. the marmot medium short do measure 29 inches from the sewn crotch to the hem of the pant leg (just as they say). the precip pants fit me exactly how I like any pants to even with jeans on. the pants do not drag. of course I also wear waterproof shoes too.
so if you have a small waist (small size) but normally wear 30 inseam pants my thought process is that the 27 1/2 will be too short unless you like your regular pants to drag on the ground. of course if you wear a 28 or 29 inseam the 27 1/2 might do the job. it is always tough when you can't try them on.
they fit me like a 30 inch inseam. best rain pants for the money. My daughter and I used them on and A.T. thru hike this year.
I bought XL (not small) Short and the inseam is 30".
I purchased Marmot PreCip Pants about a year and a half ago. Mine are a size Medium with a Regular Inseam. The sizing chart on the Marmot website indicates this should be a 31-inch Inseam. I am not a tailor but when I measure the Inseam on my PreCip Pants I measure 31-1/2 inches.
I was going to include a link to the Marmot Web Page with the sizing information but that is apparently not allowed. Go to the Marmot web site and drill down to the PreCip Pant description. There should be an extensive size matrix under the description.
I wish I could just add the link but that is apparently forbidden.
I hope this is useful.
30" is closer to the truth. That is my size and it worked for me.
