Quality compares to some of the more expensive/higher-end shells out there.
Can't beat this quality for the price.

Comments about Marmot Minimalist Jacket for Women:

I had this jacket in another color for a few years but lost it on the trail. I rely on it as a protective layer in all seasons, for hiking and kayaking -- in winter, spring & fall for wind and rain protection, in summer for a little warmth when needed. But it fits well, has a feminine shape, so I wear it around town at times also. The purple color is gorgeous -- but be forewarned it's BRIGHT! I've gotten many compliments on it.

Really like the look of the jacket. Was in between medium and large sizing so went large. A bit big but ok. Haven't had any rain yet, so can't comment on waterproofness Nice and light, perfect for backpacking, day walks and casual wear

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Byungdae M  i find some information about minimalist jaket in youtube.so i decided to buy it for my girl. she like hiking so much
Shopper  is this coat a "laminate" type or a coated type?
BRETT B  I am not sure but there isn't a coating that you can feel. It's a natural texture so I think it would be what you are calling a coating. It's not plastic or stiff feeling. Runs true to a little tight in sizing though.
