Beautiful coat, very warm and comfortable.

I would defiantly recommended this coat. I've worn it now for one week and I've received many compliments on the color, look of the coat, it's very warm, goes up high around the neck, you don't need a scarf unless you wanted one, and the hood is perfect. I followed the guidelines on the website on sizing and it was a perfect.

Best coat ever

By

I am short (4'11.5"), so this coat comes down almost as far on me as the Marmot Montreaux does on my daughter who is 6" taller. The interior fabric is soft and warm, but does not drag against clothes when putting it on. In order to put the hat up, the coat does need to be zipped all the way up or the hat lands firmly in your eyes, something that makes sense anyway. The interior fabric cuffs keep cold air from reaching wrists and help meet up with glove cuffs.

I've search all over but I finally found the PERFECT coat!!!! I love the length! It keeps you warm on the coldest day...love the fleece lining, even on the collar, pockets, and at the end of the sleeves ..... I loved it SO MUCH that I bought my daughter the exact same coat! Already 2 of my good friends loved mine so much that they bought one for themselves too! I highly recommend this coat ... it's warm-true to size-and very flattering !!!

Questions about this item:

Helen V  i'm 5'3, 105 lbs, 34B. Should I get XS? I want it fitted with a little room for a shirt and a base layer
TAMMY B  I am 5'3" 120lbs 34b and I own a med. fits perfect and I can layer under it
VESPFREE G  I would get the small since this jacket is fitted, my daughter age 12 has it in small she is 5 1 and 109 pounds & it looks great on her best Ves
KARA G  Hard to say because you are very petite. I found this coat to run a tad on the smaller side. I am 5'3, 138lbs. I would normally order a medium but ordered a large and glad I did. I feel like the Marmot Large is equivalent of North Face medium...
AMBER M  Yes XS will fit perfect. My daughter is the same size and it fit her perfectly
Helen V  Hi Amber. I have received several replies for my question. People suggest me from XS to MD, which makes me more confused. May I ask you what your daughter's measurements are? I am still undecided between XS and S.
Shopper  I'm 5'2" and 105-110 lbs 32B. Live in MI which is frigid and wet, windy, yucky so I like having longer coat like knee length to keep me warm. But since I am small, should I go with the Montreal or Montreaux? I have the Montreal currently and love it but am concerned it is not enough coverage for the bitter weather and concerned the Montreaux would be too big. Thoughts?
SHARON K  I bought the Montreal two years ago. I am 5'2" and like the length which is just above my knee-definitely covers my backside to buffer cold winter car seats. I put on about 10 pounds in my middle so coat is now a bit snugger than I'd like (now about 135 lbs.) I don't think I needed a longer coat, even when walking dog in the winter. Was plenty warm. Now on my third year, unfortunately the zipper pull broke off and zipper on hood is acting finicky. I've always had issue with velcro not adhering firmly from hood to collar. The latest issue is that I ripped coat sleeve on door at a public store. I was hoping this coat would have lasted longer.
SUSAN P  Hello. I bought this coat for cold winters in Upstate New York! I am 5'5" 115 pounds 34A. I am always warm in this coat. I pull it out when temps dip below 20F. The XS fits me snugly, but not tight. I like coats to be fitted. Try the XS. Good luck.
TAMMY B  I am 5'2" 120lbs. I live in Maine. I have the Montreal in a med. got a medium so I could layer underneath. it hits about my knees and is plenty warm.
JANICE K  It wasn't too big on me, good length not too long but long enough to stand the Chicago wind and coldness during the winter.
JACEK O  I own both coats, I am 5'5", the Montreal hits me 5-6 inches above the knee, the Montreaux right below the knee. Like you, I first purchased the Montreal, loved it, but wanted a bit more coverage, so the next season I bought the Montreaux and don't regret it. It is perfect for walking my dog in the subzero Wisconsin weather.
Paramita D  Are these Marmot jackets for Petites? I am usually a 0P. Do you think I could buy the extra small?
SARAH W  I am 5 ft 3 inches and it is a good length on me. As for petites, I bought a medium, I like my jackets to be roomy so I can put layers underneath. However, I am a 6-8 in dress size. So I expect an XS would be good for you!
PING Z  No,it's a little bigger than regular size, you can try the XS.
AMBER M  I am a petite in pants, but long waisted. I ordered the XS and am very happy with it
KARA G  Hard to say. Being that a 0P is really small, I would say yes. If the XS doesn't fit you, I don't know who it would fit! I thought the coat ran a bit small. I ordered a large and I'm glad I did. I'm 5'3, 135 lbs and 34D chest. I would normally order a medium but I wanted to allow more room to layer underneath. Coat is VERY warm.
