does anyone have any feedback on this brand minus33, such as warmth, quality, etc. compare to smartwool? thanks

To me, Minus33 is a better quality brand than smartwool. Smartwool is great for socks and gloves, but Minus33 beats them out when it comes to clothing. The material almost feels like cotton. The construction is excellent. If you purchase the correct weight for the temperature conditions you're expecting, they work great.
I like the temperature regulating effect of the wool. Works well when starting out in 20 degree weather in the morning that warms up to 40 degrees in the afternoon.
I bought my 3rd set of Minus33 recently. I have 2 light weight sets and one medium weight se. tGuess that lets you know how I feel about the brand

The Minus 33 Mid Weight is a little thicker than your average insulation but still light. It is Wool, and it is warm. I checked all the stitching and the zipper which showed very good quality. After several washings it is still holding its shape. I would buy agin.

I have several minus 33 and smartwool base layers. Minus 33 are every bit as warm & good as the smartwool. The mid-weight Minus 33 is a great weight & seems to hold up well. I have a heavy weight Minus 33 and only wear it in very cold weather (I'm in Wyoming, so we do know what cold is!) I'd stay away from the lightweight unless you're in a more moderate climate. Lightweight doesn't hold up all that well in either Smartwool or Minus 33 or other brands I've had over the years.

Good layer for backpacking and a good value for a Merino wool item.
