About Mountain Hardwear Drifter 3 DP, Three-Person Tent

Mountain Hardwear Drifter 3 DP
The Mountain Hardwear Drifter 3 DP is a great tent to carry with you on your backpacking adventures. The product's dry pitch construction allows you to set up the outer layer of the tent first, so that the tent's inner layer remains protected from the rain and you stay warm and dry inside. Thanks to the DAC pressfit poles, you tent holds up no matter what the weather. With a footprint, your tent gets protection from wearing out, as it will not be in direct contact with the ground. Since the product comes with a gear loft, you can easily store all your valuable items inside the tent, where they are always accessible to you. The two mesh/canopy doors make getting in and out of the tent quick and easy. This is further aided by the dual slider zipper that opens and shuts without any hassles. The Mountain Hardwear Drifter 3 DP will make your backpacking trips stress-free and fun.

this is a great tent! it was exactly what i was looking for. i purchased this for a backpacking trip, and although the weight will be split between 2 people, it isn't too heavy for 1. this is a roomy tent! TWO big vestibules, great headroom, and roomy for 2 + gear. 3 will work, but i like things comfy.

this tent is very easy to set up, had no problems whatsoever. there's a center hub that clips into the body, the fly/tent/footpring all clip together very easily. the dry pitch option is what sold me...if you get caught in a down pour, you can pitch the rain fly and the footprint by themselves, drag the tent and your gear in to get them out of the rain, and finish setting up the tent...out of the rain. you can even leave the tent body at home and backpack with the fly/footpring setup for an ultralight shelter. OR...bring just the tent without the fly and footprint if it's not going to rain. this is another plus too, it comes with the custom footprint. a lot of tents dont. if you consider that it comes with footprint, guylines (only included 2 for some reason, not 4), a pole repair kit (just in case) and 8 stakes...the weight isn't bad. comes with a very practical gear loft too.

it's a quality tent. no errors or dangling strings in the stitching, it's seam taped and completely waterproof, and the poles are very strong and light weight.

thank you Mountain Hardwear for a great product, and thank you Sunny Sports for your awesome website!
