Comments about Mountain Hardwear Drifter 2, Two-Person Tent:

I purchased this tent at a great price. I wasn't expecting much because I got it for much less than comparable tents. I was very surprised at the quality. This tent has two doors and two vestibules. I have plenty of room for my gear and myself. It takes no time at all to set up and packs up just at quick with the stuff sack. The storage is amazing. A storage net on the top and two additional storage nets on each end of the ten. This tent got a five star rating from me. I highly recommmend this tent. It doesn't come with a footprint which, I highly suggest that you get.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Drifter 2, Two-Person Tent:

Haven't yet tested this tent in the rain, but all the claims are right. It is light, easy to set up, not quite roomy enough for two (unless children) but plenty of room for gear.

The fly seems to be great protection against wind.

I purchased the matching Mountain Hardwear Footprint. It doesn't add but a few ounces.

The Drifter II would be a 5 if it was a bit lighter. Excellent tent for price.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Drifter 2, Two-Person Tent:

This tent held up wonderfully in 30 MPH gusts on a mountain ledge. We did not expect the weather to change so unexpectedly, but this tent performed well. It is lightweight and quick and easy to set up and tear down. The only thing I didn't like is the zipper would snag on the surrounding material sometimes. It didn't tear anything or leave a mark, but it was irritating. I absolutely loved the dual doors and the double vestibules, it held a lot of gear in there. I will be using this tent on all backpacking trips in the future. It is a well made product and I do recommend it. It is a must for a footprint to be used with this tent, I was glad I bought one and wish it were included.

RICHARD W  You do not have to stake this tent to use it. I set it up in my basement and my daughter had fune walking in and out of it :) Hope this helps!
