Disappointed

Pros

  • Breathable
  • Lightweight
  • Waterproof

Cons

  • Not durable
  • Wears Out Quickly

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Tunnabora Jacket for Men:

Jacket is super lightweight, waterproof, and very breathable. However, the material is way too thin / not strong enough. I've only used it a couple times and already have 10 or so small tears / holes in it. It is advertised as a climbing shell - I brought it on two easy alpine routes and have practically destroyed the thing. Not durable at all and cannot stand up to any abrasion on rock or brush.

It fits a bit big on me; I'm 5'9" 155lbs and got the medium. It is long and very roomy - lots of room for layers. The small fit too, but I couldn't comfortably layer a fleece underneath it.

Overall I'm really disappointed because the jacket is pretty much useless for anything other than hiking on trail. It tears / punctures VERY easily.

    Service and delivery comments:

    Customer service was top notch.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Tunnabora Jacket for Men:

I am 5'9" and 155 lbs. I got the medium and the fit is on the large size and it is long. But if you are looking for a shell for the backcountry this is good because you can layer lots underneather and still have good mobility.

Pros: It is super lightweight and compacts very small. Breaths well and is waterproof. High pockets allow access with pack or harness on. The hood drawstring is well designed and works as it should.

Cons: Advertised as a climbing shell, but not durable enough for an apline climbing environment (or really any climbing enviroment other than trail hiking). I already put 2 small tears in the sholder from either rubing against rock or bushwacking. Also, the zipper is hard to get started - I find myself fidling with it alot.
