What is the weight of this piece (minus the packaging)? In ounces ... Does it pack small?
DONGCHUL A
Don't know the actual weight but it is light and packable. It is a thin fleece, good for layering and as a light outerwear.
DIANA K
The Jacket is 9.4 oz. It is fleece, so it packs down fairly small but not entirely.
Jeanne S
Go to the mountain hardware website and look at specs. Fleece never packs down small.

How low of temperature will this jack keep you warm? As low as freezing?
KRISTI L
I'm not sure about how low of a temperature you can withstand in this jacket, but as for comfortable I would say it is not going to be sufficient for temperatures around 32 degrees Fahrenheit. around those temperatures it would be best to wear this as a mid layer and under a soft shell jacket.
PANAYIOTIS K
For freezing temperature, I would suggest combining this with a wool base layer and windproof jacket. It's fairly thin so it works well for layering. But on it's own it good down to about 55 deg F.

Not alone. It is lightweight and will serve best as an underlayer to a wind or rainproof jacket. Can also be worn over a top indoors like a sweater.
MICHAEL W
No I wouldn't recommend this at freezing...unless as a base layer with a heavier jacket on top. You are probably looking at low 50s may be upper 40s as long as you have a long sleeve underneath. Hope that helps!
