Bought these for my hike on kilimanjaro and at 20 below my hands got a little cold a few times had to keep the finders moving or pull my fingers into the main glove to make a fist.
Secondary use is for shredding this winter which they have been good for, the inserts pull right out if your hands get to warm. Havent had any issues with moisture either.
What is shredding? I'm buying these gloves for son who skis at Killington. I imagine it gets quite cold there, but is there a glove you would recommend.
Shredding is slang for skiing or boarding... but these should be fine for Killington area. I'm out in Colorado and these have been great thus far. I used to live in lake placid and know it gets cold but these should hold up great. Kilimanjaro was at -20 degrees at about 17 to 19k ft plus a little when we summited. So we had some altitude stuff going on that made things a bit colder for our bodies for the 4 days we were hiking
The flexible fingers are awesome for holding poles and give us good dexterity when trying to grab stuff out of your pack etc. Plus for the glove your getting at the price if they have his size is say go for it. The worst thing to have happen on the slopes is cold fingers and toes.
