very nice jacket, seems well made, which I expect anyway from mountain hardware. a little freaked by the profile of the main zipper, its so flat and thin and not beefy like all the other jackets I have had in the past, but ready for new technology, trusting mtn hardware to do the right thing. not sure if I can roll up or compact the hood, it has done some annoying flapping in very windy conditions and would like to prevent that. overall am very happy with this jacket seems like it has all the features and quality of jackets that are 2 and 3 times the price

I liked the style and design of this jacket. The durability seemed decent also, though not quite as much as I'd expected. The deal killer for me was the pocket locations on the front lower section. I go backcountry and sidecountry often and the waste strap for my backpack went across the pockets rendering them unusable unless I unbuckled my pack each time. That was unacceptable for me, so I had to return the jacket. This is more of an in-bounds or resort jacket in my opinion.

I am 5'10, 170 lbs, and the medium is perfect. It looks good, if slightly loose, just by itself and will make a good cool-weather jacket in the fall and spring. Of course, I really want this to be a winter coat, and the fit is perfect with a fleece layer underneath (and a shirt below that). All of the materials and stitching live up to Mountain Hardware's high-quality reputation. The zipper have very smooth action, without snagging, and the zipper seams are durable-looking seam taping that is sure to keep out the elements. Overall, I am very happy so far after a few cold (mid-teens) mornings.

Great shell, true to size fit and quality Mountain Hardwear construction. I haven't had a rainy ski day on it yet, but it seems to be ready for any kind of weather. The fit is just right - not baggy and not too tight so you can add a couple insulating layers as needed.

For the price, this jacket is a great value. I was looking for a helmet-compatible hood, pit vents, powder skirt, no insulation, and water resistant/breathable material. This checks all the boxes plus Recco. Fits true to size. I've used it for touring and for resort/downhill. It packs down pretty small too. I'm very happy with it.

Fits as expected a bit large to allow layers underneath. lt blocks the wind and it is waterproof but breaths. A great shell.

This is an excellent shell jacket for skiing, with many of the features of higher-end jackets at a fraction of the price. It's not insulated so you'll have to layer accordingly, however it is wind/water resistant and pretty warm on it's own. I'm a fairly athletic 6' 2", 220 lbs. and the large has plenty of room to spare.
