does this model have schock spring?
EDIE C yes,it does have a shock spring! It was a little hard to get used to at first, because my previous Leki stick (that I lost in Mexico) didn't have one, and I kept thinking the adjustment was slipping. Once I got used to it though, I don't think I'd want one without the shock spring. It is great for hard and softer surfaces.
I purchased a pair of these for a trip to Europe that I knew would involve a lot of walking on cobblestones and some hills. Little did I know at the time that I would soon require double hip replacement surgery. I used both of them to get around before surgery, and afterwards as well, after I graduated from a walker and crutches. I'm on another trip to Europe now and brought just one, and it's coming in very handy on those aforementioned cobblestones.
RICHARD P Yes, it does and well worth it. Mine travels with me 60,000-70,000 miles a year.
DWIGHT A Yes, that's why they call it "anti-shock"
JOHN C I got a older model but mine has a shock spring but also can be tightened down to a fixed staff(ie non-sping load). If it helps any, i really like my pole. It has a lot of miles on it and has held up well.
