For the Taller Hiker

By

I really wanted one of the other Leki poles - one of the ones that fold down to a very small package, but they didn't extend long enough for my frame - I'm 6'1" and was basically at the ragged edge for going downhill. Found these, bought them and they're perfectly sized. Gave them a pretty good tryout up in the White Mountains in NH - 9 miles and about 6,000 vertical feet of hiking (and 6K down too, I suppose). They handled my creaky injured, not-in-the-best-shape to hike body very well. I don't love the wrist straps, as they're a bit bulky, but I tend to not use them anyway - if your pole gets stuck and your arm is in motion, you kind of get jerked back. Otherwise, these are great poles. Can't wait to put some more miles on them
