are these women's poles?

Sorry this reply is late, but I've been walking the AT and not able to get on the internet. Yes, they are women's poles, and are the best poles I've ever had. The lock mechanism is just great, never slips, and you can easily loosen or tighten it. I have the compact pair, which collapse to be a very convenient size. The handles are designated right and left, and are bent somewhat to be more comfortable. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I believe the poles are not more suited for women, but are lightweight and the speedlock is a good feature if your trail varies and you are frequently adjusting your pole lengths accordingly.

these are women's poles and they are great.used them for a hike on the at and what a lifesaver and the speedlock works like a champ makes it real nice for putting them on your pack or using your poles as a tent post and changing the hight if you have a long desent or climb it only takes a second to adjust.

Yes, the model I bought is designed for women. I used these poles hiking in Switzerland and in my home area and they are the best I've ever had. Very light weight (important if you are going to pack them for air travel), quick adjusting and stable.

Yes, they are designed for women ("ultralight/lady"). They are smaller and lighter than the other Aergon models. But don't worry; they are not too small, like the junior models. You'd need to be 5'10" or 6' tall to find these a bit small.

Yes, I'm 5'3" and these adjustable poles work very well for me. They are light weight and the grip is comfortable - so far I like them very much.

I can tell you that I am a woman and have enjoyed using these poles for all my hiking outings. They are easy to adjust the length, etc. so it could be for either woman or man, but they are the best poles I have ever bought and wouldn't trade them for any others. I think you would be pleased with getting some.

I am a 108lb 26 year old female and I used these poles to hike the Appalachian Trail. They were absolutely fabulous. They were the single most important tool I had next to my boots. They were small enough for my hands and very comfortable. Totally adjustable and so stable when adjusted to the proper height, not to mention light weight. So yes, for Women!

Great poles for smaller hands. One gripe is that the tensioning screws were not tight enough and the pole collasped during first use. Include an allen wrench with the poles.

Very light poles. I've used them, and they work fine. The white may give them a more femine look, but otherwise can't say they are woman's poles. David

These are women's poles, and excellent ones at that! Purchased them for my wife and she uses them for hiking several times each week around Juneau, Alaska. She belongs to a hiking group that loves to tackle the really rough stuff in all weather, and she was very impressed by these poles.

The are made for smaller hands, so are perfect for an average/small size woman. They are lightweight and open and close easily. I have also put all my weight on them and they do not collapse. I have been very happy with the purchase.
